Social media users have been quick to point out these issues, with videos showing how to navigate the English interface gaining attention. One TikTok video garnered 947,000 views within 24 hours of the release.

Taobao and Tmall generated $3.65B in revenue in Q2 2024, a 6% year-over-year growth. This launch fits into Alibaba's wider global strategy, as the company aims to diversify beyond the Chinese market through platforms like AliExpress.
