Reboxed's new platform, ReboxedOS, empowers brands to scale resale and recycling programs. Founded in 2019, the London startup helps retailers like Three Mobile, aiming to rehome 100M devices and promote sustainability.
Reboxed, a UK-based circular economy startup, has introduced ReboxedOS, a solution to help brands and retailers implement resale, trade-in, and recycling programs for consumer electronics. Launched in 2019 by Phil Kemish and Matt Thorne, the company's mission is to rehome 100M devices. The platform offers an out-of-the-box solution, allowing businesses to enter recommerce without developing their own infrastructure.
Reboxed has already partnered with major telecom players like Three Mobile. They helped Three launch a refurbished tech offering through its SMARTY brand. Other partners, like Lebara Mobile and Airtime Rewards, have also joined forces with Reboxed to promote circular economy solutions. Ollie Carrier, Senior Commercial Manager at Three Mobile, praised the platform, saying it improved customer engagement and extended customer tenure while delivering environmental benefits.
ReboxedOS responds to rising demand for sustainable tech. According to Reboxed’s report, The Future of Circular Electronics, consumer interest in refurbished tech and trade-ins is growing faster than traditional retail. "ReboxedOS reduces tech waste while boosting customer lifetime value," says Phil Kemish. The company offers customers up to 50% savings on tech, encouraging both brands and consumers to embrace circular commerce.
Matt Thorne, Reboxed co-founder, highlighted how recommerce is becoming essential for growth. "Recommerce unlocks a sustainable future for brands," he said. The platform helps brands rethink trade-ins, focusing on extending the product life and deepening relationships with eco-conscious customers. As Thorne notes, "Together, we can redefine value—one reboxed item at a time." ReboxedOS empowers companies to innovate their e-commerce strategies, driving both revenue and environmental benefits.
