Swiggy launches Incognito Mode, allowing users to place private orders that are hidden from their order history. Currently available to 10% of users, this feature caters to the rising demand for privacy in online transactions.
Swiggy has introduced Incognito Mode, a new feature allowing users to place orders discreetly. Once activated, orders won’t appear in the user’s history after three hours of delivery. Rohit Kapoor, CEO of Swiggy’s Food Marketplace, emphasized the rising demand for privacy in digital transactions. He stated, “As social as our lives are becoming, there are still things we prefer to keep private.”
The feature is simple to use. Users can activate Incognito Mode by toggling the option in their cart before placing an order. This keeps items like surprise gifts or personal wellness products hidden from their history. Only the user can see the order for three hours after delivery, in case any issues arise, after which it is removed.
As of now, Incognito Mode is available to just 10% of Swiggy users. The company plans a full rollout soon. This new feature is part of a broader update strategy to enhance user engagement and convenience. Recent updates include group ordering, Eatlists, explore mode, and reordering options.
Incognito Mode was developed in response to the growing demand for privacy in online transactions. With more people relying on digital services for personal needs, Swiggy is positioning itself as a leader in privacy and convenience. "We’re excited to offer a seamless experience that lets users enjoy our services with added discretion," Kapoor said.
