Asos moves vintage and boutique sellers to its main site, promising a better shopping experience with features like 'Buy the Look' and increased traffic.
Asos will complete the migration of vintage and boutique sellers to its main website by April 2025. This change aims to create a seamless shopping experience for customers. Asos says the move will increase traffic to sellers by consolidating everything onto one platform. The feature 'Buy the Look' will let users purchase entire outfits in just one click.
Shazmeen Malik, Asos’ brands director, stated that the shift will provide boutique sellers with increased visibility while maintaining their inventory control. Sellers will also benefit from the company’s Partner Fulfils service. This system allows sellers to ship directly to customers, improving speed and flexibility. Malik calls the integration a win for both buyers and sellers.
In related news, Asos is closing its Atlanta distribution center later this year. Fulfilment will shift to the UK’s automated Barnsley center and a smaller US site. The company plans to redeploy staff where possible. This change will improve profitability and shorten delivery times for US customers starting in the second half of FY25.
The integration and logistics changes are part of Asos’ larger strategy to simplify operations and boost profits. With vintage and boutique sellers on its main site, Asos aims to enhance customer satisfaction. The company is betting on improved functionality and centralized shopping to drive growth in 2025 and beyond.
