La Redoute has appointed Richard Burke as the new CEO of its UK operations. Burke, who has been with the company since 2012, will focus on maintaining commercial success and planning for long-term growth and profitability.
Richard Burke has been promoted to CEO of La Redoute UK. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer. His appointment comes after the former UK CEO, Saida Gallouj, was promoted to Head of laredoute.com. Burke will report directly to Michael Truluck, the CEO of La Redoute International.
Burke began his career in warehouse operations nearly 20 years ago. His experience in logistics and retail management led him to La Redoute in 2012. Initially, he served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) before becoming CFO. This journey has provided him with extensive insight into the business and its operations.
Michael Truluck emphasized Burke’s detailed knowledge of the company and his involvement in developing its strategy. "Richard's progression in the retail environment and his detailed knowledge of the business made him the ideal choice for the role," Truluck said.
Burke expressed his excitement about leading La Redoute UK, focusing on sustaining the company's commercial success and planning for long-term growth. "It’s an exciting time for the brand, and I'm hugely proud to be at the helm of La Redoute UK," Burke said. His immediate goal is to ensure that the UK business remains successful while developing strategies for future growth.
