DoorDash is increasing its alcohol delivery partnerships. This includes working with Food Lion, Giant Food, and Stop & Shop. In 2023, DoorDash increased the number of liquor stores on its platform by over 60%. Vice President Fuad Hannon said, "DoorDash is the U.S. category share leader for third-party liquor store delivery sales." This expansion helps local merchants grow their businesses while providing more earning opportunities for Dashers.
DoorDash is also investing in new advertising solutions. Brands can now target high-intent customers at the point of purchase with sponsored products. This feature is available on DoorDash’s Ads Manager UI and through API partners like Flywheel and Pacvue. Major brands like Anheuser-Busch and Molson Coors are already benefiting from increased sales through this feature.
To connect with consumers during notable celebrations, DoorDash offers “Occasion Branded Campaigns.” These campaigns focus on events like Super Bowl Sunday, St. Patrick’s Day, and Cinco de Mayo to drive awareness and conversion. This initiative helps brands engage with customers during key moments, enhancing their marketing efforts.
