Amazon has launched new features for its B2B customers: an integrated quoting tool for bulk orders and a "one-stop shop" app hub. These tools aim to simplify cost analysis, bid selection, and resource management for businesses.
Amazon announced a new quoting tool for its Amazon Business service on June 20, 2024. This tool targets B2B customers making bulk purchases—over 1,000 items or $10,000. It provides custom quotes from Amazon Business and third-party platforms, centralizing them for easier cost analysis and bid selection.
The new app center, described as a "one-stop shop," offers over 25 applications. These include shopping, analytics, and management functions. It aims to sync users and data across Amazon Business accounts, providing a centralized location for various business solutions.
Amazon Business also introduced enhancements to its budget management tools. These new capabilities help businesses manage their resources better. A new toolbar in the guided buying tool helps establish approval processes and select sustainability-certified products.
“We don't just react to the biggest challenges our customers have shared with us,” said Shelley Salomon, Amazon Business Worldwide Vice President. “We get ahead of them with new technologies so our customers can use their resources to navigate the unexpected and continue expanding their business.”
