Sojo and Vestiaire Collective partner to offer tailoring and repair services in the UK, with plans to expand. This service aims to reduce returns and increase sale value of pre-loved items by providing easy alterations and repairs.
Repair specialist Sojo and resale giant Vestiaire Collective have teamed up to provide a new service in the UK. Customers can now access expert tailoring and repairs for their pre-loved items. The service includes Sojo's zero-emissions collection and home delivery. This new offer is planned to expand further.
Vestiaire Collective found that 65% of its returns were due to sizing issues. With this partnership, customers can now tailor their pre-owned pieces, reducing the return rate. It is the first luxury retail platform to offer a digital tailoring service, enhancing the shopping experience for its customers.
Sellers on Vestiaire Collective can also benefit from this service. They can make necessary repairs, potentially increasing the sale value of their items. Additionally, they can list more pieces by meeting Vestiaire's eligibility criteria, which require no tears or holes in the items.
Once a customer receives their purchase, they can book the alteration they need and organize a Sojo item collection. The piece will then be repaired at Sojo's in-house studios and delivered directly back to the customer. This seamless process ensures customers can shop pre-loved items with confidence.
