Partnering with Loop, Poshmark lets U.S. shoppers resell non-returnable items with ease. This innovative move supports sustainability and boosts resale revenue.
Poshmark and Loop have teamed up to tackle missed returns. Shoppers can now resell non-returnable items on Poshmark through Loop’s returns portal. A single click generates a pre-filled listing, turning what was once a dead-end into a chance to earn cash. This collaboration empowers Loop’s 4,000 Shopify brands and Poshmark’s 130M users to embrace a circular economy. In 2024 alone, Poshmark users earned $8B in sales, showing the potential for this new feature to drive both revenue and sustainability.
Retailers face increasing costs and waste due to tightened return policies. Over $67.6M in merchandise was returned via Loop between December 26–30, 2024, a jump of 8% YoY. Meanwhile, Poshmark listings with “missed return” surged 50%. By transforming non-returnable items into resale inventory, this partnership addresses these pain points. Steven Tristan Young, CMO of Poshmark, highlights that this initiative offers a win-win: less waste and more money for consumers.
Rothy’s, a key partner, exemplifies sustainability. Known for washable and durable products, Rothy’s is thrilled about the new integration. “We’re empowering customers to reduce waste,” said Dayna Quanbeck, President at Rothy’s. By simplifying resale, this partnership supports the growing demand for eco-conscious solutions. Poshmark’s tools ensure seamless transactions, reinforcing its mission of making resale simple, social, and sustainable.
Loop merchants can enable this feature with one click. Shoppers can then resell items directly from the returns portal, creating pre-filled Poshmark listings instantly. Loop CEO Hannah Bravo praised the simplicity and sustainability of the initiative, calling it the “future of returns.” This innovation redefines how brands and shoppers manage non-returnable items while unlocking new revenue streams for everyone involved.
