JD.com’s international division improves shipping services for customers in the US, Japan, and Singapore, reducing costs by up to 50%. Free delivery is now available for qualifying orders, boosting its appeal to global Chinese consumers.
JD.com announced major upgrades to its international shipping services starting August 28. For US customers, the cost of shipping under 1KG via direct shipping has been slashed by 50%. Singapore shoppers can now ship by air starting from RMB 20. These enhancements include options like Air Express, Air Standard, and Sea Economical.
To attract more customers, JD Global Sales is introducing free shipping for qualifying orders. In the US, orders over RMB 618 qualify for free Air Standard shipping. Singapore customers can enjoy free Sea Economical shipping for orders over RMB 218. Selected items in the US and Japan even get free express air shipping.
JD Global Sales focuses on serving Chinese consumers living abroad, offering over 400,000 self-operated SKUs. The products range from electronics and home goods to beauty products and food. All items are shipped from JD.com’s warehouses in China and fulfilled by global logistics partners.
JD.com’s international reach also extends to Europe, where it launched the omni-channel brand “ochama” in 2022. This brand now operates in 24 European countries with over 800 pickup points. The company continues to leverage its robust infrastructure to expand its presence globally.
