Iceland is rolling out a new rapid delivery service in partnership with Deliveroo. Starting from September 25, the service will initially be available in 53 stores, but by the end of October, it is expected to cover more than 800 locations. This move aims to enhance convenience for customers across the UK, allowing them to order over 3,000 products for same-day delivery, including essentials, fresh items, and frozen groceries, all within just 25 minutes.
Customers using the Deliveroo app will have access to a broad selection of Iceland’s offerings. This includes not just their own-brand items but also popular branded products like TGI Fridays, Greggs, and My Protein. The service will also feature seasonal merchandise and Iceland's extended value range, ensuring that customers can get a wide variety of products delivered right to their doorsteps in record time.
This new partnership is a testament to Iceland's rapid growth over the past year. The company, along with its sister brand The Food Warehouse, has been expanding its reach and improving its service offerings. Richard Walker, Iceland Foods International and Partnerships Director, emphasized the company's commitment to providing customers with innovative, value-driven products no matter where they are located.
Deliveroo is equally excited about this partnership. Suzy McClintock, Deliveroo’s Vice President of New Verticals, highlighted the growing demand for convenient grocery delivery. By joining forces with Iceland, Deliveroo is now able to bring thousands of products to even more households across the UK. Customers can now enjoy their Iceland favorites with the convenience of fast delivery through the Deliveroo app.
