Coframe, an AI startup specializing in website optimization, secured $9.3M in seed funding on Oct 29. Khosla Ventures and NFDG, led by former GitHub CEO Nat Friedman and ex-Apple exec Daniel Gross, co-led the funding round. Coframe aims to transform website experiences using AI to adjust content, visuals, and code in real-time based on user behavior.
The Coframe platform uses generative AI to test and optimize website elements. This approach personalizes user experiences by tailoring the site’s interface to the visitor’s needs, increasing engagement. “User interfaces should adapt to each user and their goals,” said Nat Friedman. Coframe says this adaptability can improve sales through customized online experiences.
Coframe partnered with OpenAI to develop specialized AI models for automated web design. The model generates interface code that ensures a cohesive, brand-aligned look. This collaboration addresses a common challenge for businesses that want consistent design across various audience segments without extensive manual coding.
In trials with a major international company, Coframe’s platform increased click-through rates by an average of 42%. One customer segment saw a 352% improvement. Coframe CEO Josh Payne noted the success of limited testing with select marketing and growth teams, revealing potential for widespread application as the technology evolves.
