The company had previously opted not to bid for the Daily and Sunday Telegraph, emphasizing its focus on digital media. Döpfner and Friede Springer will hold nearly 98% of the newly formed digital media division, valued at €3.5B. “We need to become more market, customer, and revenue-focused,” Döpfner emphasized.
