Alibaba.com introduced its EasyStart package and AI tools to help German SMEs with digitalization and global trade. The EasyStart Membership offers a 3-month trial for $9, down from $399. AI tools like Smart Product Listing and Chat Co-pilot enhance digital presence.
To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Alibaba.com launched the EasyStart package in Germany. This package aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in their digital transformation. The EasyStart Membership offers a 3-month trial period for just $9 instead of the usual $399. This new approach is designed to help SMEs begin their journey on Alibaba.com with minimal upfront costs.
Alibaba.com also introduced several AI-powered tools to aid sellers in improving their visibility and maximizing potential. The Smart Product Listing tool optimizes product listings with AI-generated keywords, descriptions, and images. Chat Co-pilot personalizes and professionally designs communications to increase response rates. Additionally, Product Insights provides automatic analyses and ad hoc reports to help businesses make quick strategic decisions based on market changes.
The "European Export and Digital Transformation Barometer" revealed that 88% of German SMEs see digitalization as crucial for export success, yet only 41% are fully digital. While 96% of respondents believe AI will impact exports, only 11% have implemented it. Many companies fear high costs and falling behind non-European competitors. Alibaba.com's new tools aim to address these challenges, making digital transformation more accessible and cost-effective.
Karl Wehner, Managing Director of Alibaba.com DACH, stated, "Digital transformation has been influencing all sectors in Germany for some time now and it feels like it is being rapidly overtaken by AI innovations." He emphasized the need for collaboration among companies, politicians, and associations to remove obstacles and enhance skills. Notable speakers at the "Alibaba Live: Innovation Summit" included Lea-Sophie Cramer, Björn Ognibeni, Dr. Kai Hudetz, and others, who shared their insights on digital transformation and AI.
