Yodel partners with InPost to handle final-mile delivery from InPost lockers to customer doors across the UK. The collaboration supports a rising demand in Out of Home parcel services, with C2C deliveries up 200% over two years. Tracking is provided via InPost's app, adding convenience. This move reflects Yodel’s growth in second-hand markets and InPost’s expansion of its locker network, offering UK customers more delivery options.
Yodel, a leading UK parcel delivery company, has announced a new partnership with InPost, the largest Out of Home parcel locker network in the UK. Yodel will manage final-mile delivery for parcels picked up from InPost lockers and deliver them to customers’ doors. This collaboration aims to improve accessibility and flexibility for users, making it easier for them to send and receive parcels. According to Mike Hancox, CEO of Yodel, "this partnership combines InPost’s expertise in Out of Home services with Yodel’s decades of experience in last-mile deliveries."
This move comes amid increasing demand for Out of Home (OOH) services in the UK, driven largely by the popularity of second-hand marketplaces. Recent data from Yodel shows that 54% of Brits over 16 are now selling items online. Consequently, customer-to-customer (C2C) delivery volumes have surged, rising by 200% over the past two years. Yodel and InPost see this partnership as a response to this booming sector, aiming to cater to the evolving needs of customers in the C2C and B2C markets.
Through this partnership, customers will now have the option to track parcels via the InPost app, adding a level of convenience to the “Locker-to-Door” delivery process. This app-based tracking feature will enhance the delivery experience, helping customers monitor parcel progress from locker to door. Neil Kuschel, CEO of InPost UK, highlighted the significance of the partnership in meeting UK market demands, stating, "We are committed to developing additional services to deliver faster and win in the UK."
The partnership represents a strategic expansion for both companies. Yodel aims to reach more customers who seek flexible delivery solutions, while InPost’s commercial growth in the UK continues. This collaboration will strengthen both brands’ positions in the expanding UK delivery market, where more customers are embracing OOH solutions. As both companies work together to expand service offerings, this partnership looks set to support the growth of second-hand marketplaces and improve customer choice across the country.
