ShipStation's new Google Merchant Center integration leverages Google’s Content API to offer accurate, location-based delivery predictions. This boosts online shopping experiences by increasing visibility, ranking, and customer satisfaction for ShipStation users.
ShipStation, a shipping software from Auctane, has integrated with Google Merchant Center, using Google's Content API for Shopping. This integration allows retailers to offer location-specific delivery predictions on Google. This is critical as research shows that 25% of global shoppers prioritize delivery speed. ShipStation's new feature ensures that shoppers get precise delivery timelines at the point of purchase, reducing cart abandonment and enhancing customer satisfaction.
By using this integration, ShipStation retailers can improve their chances of earning “Free & Fast Shipping” and “Top Quality Store” badges on Google. These badges increase the visibility of products on Google surfaces like Search and Images. Products with faster and more reliable delivery promises are more likely to rank higher on Google, leading to greater sales potential.
Connecting a ShipStation account to Google Merchant Center is easy and seamless. Once connected, ShipStation synchronizes order tracking history with Google, including timestamps and tracking details. Google’s machine learning models then analyze this data to predict delivery times with high confidence, displaying these predictions directly to shoppers.
Matt Schurk, Chief Sales Officer at Auctane, emphasized the competitive advantage this integration provides. "Ecommerce thrives on instant decisions. Today’s consumers demand clear delivery timelines," said Schurk. With this integration, retailers can display specific delivery times on Google, offering transparency that can drive sales and customer loyalty. It's a win-win for both businesses and consumers in the highly competitive online shopping market.
