Shein is looking for Polish IT experts for its new Warsaw team. The brand plans to hire 10 employees as part of its Europe Technology Centre. This follows Shein's rapid expansion in Poland, with warehouses and teams already in place.
Shein, the global fashion and lifestyle giant, is actively seeking IT talent in Poland for its new Warsaw-based team. This is part of its Europe Technology Centre (SETC), whose headquarters are in Dublin. The center will handle cybersecurity, data privacy, and technology operations for Shein’s e-commerce platform in the EMEA region. This new office strengthens Poland's role in Shein's European operations, with local talent playing a key part. "Poland is a critical market for us, and we see rapid sales growth," said Leonard Lin, Shein's Global Public Affairs Director.
The new Shein tech center will focus on various areas including Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Big Data, research and development (R&D), cybersecurity, and privacy protection technologies. The Polish and Irish teams will be under Leon Li, Shein's Security Director in the US. Shein's investment in Warsaw aims to support the company’s tech needs while boosting innovation and data security across the EMEA region.
Shein already has a strong presence in Poland with seven warehouses near Wrocław, ensuring a robust logistics base. The new SETC team in Warsaw will add to this by furthering Shein's long-term strategy in Europe. "Our growing teams in Magnice and our investment in Warsaw reflect Poland's importance in Shein’s strategy," said Lin. With Polish experts known for their tech expertise, this move is expected to drive Shein’s future success in Europe.
Shein has kicked off its recruitment for a team of 10 IT professionals in Warsaw. The company also plans to double its workforce in Dublin to over 60 by the end of 2024, up from the 30 employees earlier in the year. This is part of a broader expansion as Shein grows its e-commerce operations across Europe. The company’s on-demand model, which uses digitized supply chains, allows it to stay responsive to market trends, maintaining low unsold inventory rates and competitive prices for consumers.
