Primark's H1 sales surged 7.5% to $5.6bn (£4.5bn), with a 2.1% like-for-like sales growth. ABF's retail arm attributes this growth to new store openings, selected price increases, and its successful Click + Collect trials.
Adjusted operating profit margin reached 11.3%, up from last year, driven by improved product gross margin. UK sales grew by 4.3%, while Europe (excluding the UK) saw a 7.9% increase in sales.
Primark's digital strategy shows progress with increased website traffic in all markets. The company continues to invest in SEO, CRM, and paid marketing, enhancing its overall digital engagement.
Following successful trials, Primark plans to expand its Click + Collect service nationwide by 2025, offering curated product ranges across clothing and homeware. CEO Paul Marchant emphasizes the model's compatibility with Primark's store-centric approach.
