Boots has already revamped 170 stores and will upgrade another 30 beauty halls. These upgrades include new furniture, trending areas, discovery stations, and live demonstration zones. These changes are part of Boots' strategy to keep up with the evolving beauty industry and make shopping more exciting for customers.
💄 Competitive Landscape
Boots' expansion comes amid stiff competition from Sephora and Space NK. Sephora reopened physical stores in the UK in 2023 after an 18-year absence. It has recently opened a store in Manchester and plans to open two more in Newcastle. Space NK is also growing, with plans to open four new stores in 2024, including two in Manchester.

There are ongoing rumors about a potential IPO for Boots. Earlier this month, Walgreens Boots Alliance paused plans for an IPO. The US company is exploring options for Boots amid ongoing sales talks.
