The new packaging incorporates 30% more recycled fibers, reducing dependency on virgin materials. It also uses 60% less ink, eliminating harmful bleaching processes. This gives the boxes their natural brown color, familiar to customers and better for the environment.
Amazon is also optimizing shipping methods. Smaller, compact boxes increase pallet capacity, reducing transport needs. By shipping via ocean instead of air, emissions drop significantly. These changes align with Amazon's goal to reach net-zero carbon by 2040 under The Climate Pledge.
