Part of Amazon's investment will go to Amazon Web Services (AWS) to enhance cloud infrastructure in Paris. This supports France's growing generative AI sector. Since 2010, Amazon has invested over $21.5B in France. Amazon employs more than 22,000 permanent staff in France. Frédéric Duval, Amazon France's country manager, said the new jobs are in addition to 2,000 jobs announced for 2024. This shows Amazon's commitment to job creation in France.
