Uber Eats' new live location-sharing helps couriers brave jungles for your pizza. Available in 11,000 cities, except Quebec, it's the outdoor delivery game-changer we didn't know we needed!
Uber Eats is revolutionizing the food delivery scene with a live location-sharing feature, aiming to navigate the wild urban jungles and bring your orders right to you, whether you're chilling in a park or hidden in a campus courtyard. This tech marvel rolls out globally, turning your meet-up into an effortless affair.
"Meet outside" or "at your door," no problem! The feature kicks in when the courier is a mere three minutes away and you're within 100 meters of the drop-off, ensuring your meal lands in your hands, not in the hands of a confused passerby or a squirrel.
Uber Eats wasn't first to the party—Domino's Pinpoint Delivery led the way in June 2023. But, Uber's addition is a game-changer, especially for orders in those tricky spots. "Bringing location sharing to Uber Eats ensures reliability," says Divya Dalapathi, Uber's director of Product Management.
As we embrace al fresco dining and park picnics, let's remember: our couriers are heroes, not explorers. Keep your location clear, folks, and maybe avoid the actual jungle. Oh, and tipping? More crucial than ever.
