Swiggy, a leading foodtech company, has launched a marketing solutions suite for restaurants. This suite helps eateries collaborate with influencers and place ads on platforms like Instagram and Facebook. Restaurants can also send push notifications via WhatsApp. Ajit Panigarhi, Swiggy's assistant vice president, stated, “Our new set of marketing services helps brands grow their customer base by combining the reach and engagement of channels like influencer marketing, social media, and WhatsApp with the ability to acquire new users through the Swiggy platform.”
This marketing solution is part of Swiggy's strategy to offer growth solutions to restaurants. Swiggy recently launched 'Staffing Support' to help restaurants with staff recruitment. Earlier, it introduced 'Smart Links,' allowing restaurants to direct customers from social media to their menu pages on the Swiggy app. These initiatives aim to enhance the online presence and customer engagement of restaurant partners.
Swiggy is preparing for an IPO valued at approximately INR 10,414.1 Cr ($1.2 Bn). The IPO includes a fresh issue of shares worth INR 3,750.1 Cr ($449 Mn) and an offer-for-sale of INR 6,664 Cr ($799 Mn). The company received shareholder approval in April. This IPO follows significant internal changes, including increasing the platform fee to INR 6 per order in markets like Delhi and Bengaluru. Early investors like Prosus, Accel, and Elevation Capital are selling shares, diluting their stakes.
