However, China struggled, reporting a 6.3% decline. This marks a sharp shift as Chinese online retail has historically been a major growth driver. The report by ECDB highlights these shifts, reflecting a broader global rebalancing in digital commerce.
Some product categories outpaced overall market growth. DIY led with 6.7%, followed by Care Products at 5.4% and Fashion at 4.8%. Electronics trailed at 3.6%. The rising interest in home improvement and self-care aligns with consumer behavior shifts post-pandemic.
