Indiegogo has introduced IndieShop, a new ecommerce site for crowdfunded products. IndieShop, launched in beta in May and now live, features over 40 products. This move aims to provide a complete innovation journey for users. Becky Center, CEO of Indiegogo, highlighted that the platform is designed to bring more customers to campaigns and introduce crowdfunding to a new audience. Indiegogo plans to partner with physical stores to feature successful projects, allowing backers to try products before investing.
📦 New Services for Innovators
Indiegogo launched several services to support both inventors and backers. New features include customer insights for those preparing crowdfunding requests and a pay-over-time option for backers. These services are designed to help inventors better understand their market and make it easier for backers to support campaigns. The platform also reduced its fees to 4% for crowdfunding campaigns through the end of 2024.
🔍 Expanding Beyond Crowdfunding
Becky Center, CEO of Indiegogo, emphasized that the goal is to expand support beyond the traditional 30- to 60-day crowdfunding campaign cycle. Over the past 16 years, Indiegogo has helped nearly a million entrepreneurs and companies build their brands and reach audiences globally. Center aims to maintain Indiegogo as the top crowdfunding platform while enhancing support for innovators throughout their journey.

Indiegogo’s plans include a physical retail presence for successful projects. The in-store experience will feature a curated selection of products and live unboxing events. This will allow backers to try and test products before investing.
