Henry Schein Inc. launched a dental supply marketplace, offering over 8,000 products. Partnering with TDSC and powered by Mirakl, the platform aims to enhance digital shopping for dental offices. Full rollout planned for 2025.
Henry Schein, a global distributor of medical and dental products, is taking a major step into the digital world by launching an online marketplace for dental practices. The new platform offers over 8,000 products ranging from office essentials to dental-specific supplies. This move follows their strategy to expand digital offerings to meet growing demands from their customers.
The marketplace is being developed in partnership with The Dentists Supply Company (TDSC), which already serves dental professionals with a wide range of supplies. Mirakl, a provider of marketplace technology, is also playing a crucial role in building the platform. The new marketplace will feature non-clinical products like furniture, coffee pods, and office essentials. Henry Schein plans to fully integrate it into its existing website by 2025.
Mark Hillebrandt, Henry Schein's vice president and chief digital revenue officer, emphasized the benefits of the platform: “We’re excited to deliver a seamless and convenient digital shopping experience for our customers.” The marketplace is designed to meet the increasing demand for cost management and efficiency among dental customers by providing a one-stop shop for various dental practice needs.
This initiative marks an important part of Henry Schein's digital transformation strategy, positioning the company to better compete in an increasingly digital landscape. With the integration of marketplace technology and the collaboration with TDSC, Henry Schein aims to streamline purchasing for dental offices and strengthen its market presence. The platform is currently in the pilot phase, with plans for full rollout by 2025.
