Grubhub now serves over 2.6K Hilton hotels, expanding its 2023 partnership with the brand. Guests at Hampton, Tru, and Spark properties can enjoy food, grocery, and convenience deliveries. Grubhub benefits from greater U.S. brand visibility.
Grubhub now delivers food, groceries, and convenience items to guests at over 2,600 Hilton hotels across the U.S. The partnership, which started in 2023 with 500 properties, now spans brands like Hampton, Tru, and Spark. Hilton guests can order from Grubhub’s marketplace of 375,000 merchants using a QR code. This expansion aims to enhance guest experiences while increasing Grubhub's presence in the U.S. delivery market.
Since its partnership with Hilton began, Grubhub’s hotel orders have doubled. This aligns with its strategy to boost market share by collaborating with major brands. Grubhub, acquired by Wonder earlier in 2024, also partners with Choice Hotels and Sonesta. Additionally, Grubhub services over 360 universities and offers perks like free Grubhub+ memberships to Amazon Prime users, adding to its growth momentum.
Hilton guests enjoy convenience with one month of free Grubhub+, including $0 delivery fees and discounts. Hilton’s Senior VP Bill Duncan noted this expansion adds value to guests by ensuring easy access to amenities during their stay. The collaboration emphasizes Hilton’s commitment to guest satisfaction through innovative solutions.
Grubhub remains the third-largest U.S. delivery provider, competing with DoorDash and Uber Eats. Partnerships like this are critical for growing its brand recognition. The move into hotels complements Grubhub’s campus services and partnership with Amazon, creating a stronger foothold in non-traditional delivery markets.
