Berlin-based Flaconi aims for a 20% sales increase in 2025 by entering Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Italy, and the Czech Republic, as reported by Handelsblatt. CEO Bastian Siebers emphasizes leveraging their Berlin tech team and Halle logistics center for this growth.
Flaconi, Berlin's online beauty retailer, plans to enter Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Italy, and the Czech Republic by mid-2025. CEO Bastian Siebers shared this strategy with Handelsblatt on January 29, 2025. The company aims for a 20% sales increase this year.
To expand cost-effectively, Flaconi relies on its 100-member tech and data team in Berlin. Their central logistics hub in Halle (Saale), employing nearly 300 of their 700 staff, will supply these new markets. This centralized approach ensures efficiency.
In 2024, Flaconi's sales surpassed €500M ($550M), marking over 30% growth. Operating profit (EBITDA) rose from €3.5M ($3.85M) in 2023 to a double-digit million figure. Siebers noted, "For the first time, Flaconi has made money on the bottom line."
Under Siebers, who joined in October 2022, Flaconi optimized e-commerce processes and streamlined products to focus on perfume and beauty. With 90% of access via smartphones, the company enhanced its mobile presence to meet customer needs.
