Deliveroo launches a pet food delivery service in partnership with Tom&Co. 262 pet products will be available in Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, Bruges, and Kortrijk. Wallonia is currently excluded, but expansion plans are in place.
Deliveroo has launched a pet food delivery service in Belgium. This new service is offered in partnership with Tom&Co, a major pet-product chain. The service allows customers in Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, Bruges, and Kortrijk to order 262 products for cats and dogs. Wallonia is excluded for now, but future expansion plans are under consideration. This move marks Deliveroo’s ongoing effort to expand beyond its traditional food delivery business.
Deliveroo sees this as a strategic step towards diversification. The company's focus has largely been on food, but pet products represent a growing opportunity. Many Belgian households own pets, and by partnering with Tom&Co, Deliveroo taps into a new market. "This is an important step in our growth strategy," says a Deliveroo spokesperson. With 262 items for pets, customers now have greater choice, and it reflects the company's plans to secure more non-food partnerships.
The collaboration with Tom&Co provides Deliveroo with a ready-made catalog of products for its customers. Tom&Co, a well-known pet supply store, offers a variety of pet foods and products. This partnership will be the first in a series of non-food deliveries Deliveroo is planning. "We’re excited to be able to serve pet owners across Belgium," a Tom&Co representative said. For now, the service is available only in major cities, but it could reach other parts of Belgium soon.
Although the service is limited to select regions like Brussels and Antwerp, Deliveroo is already looking to extend coverage. Wallonia, for instance, could be included in future expansion plans. With more Belgian households owning pets, the demand for convenient delivery of pet products is expected to rise. Deliveroo's partnership with Tom&Co may also encourage other non-food collaborations. As the company diversifies, more partnerships could soon be announced.
