magicpin, a hyper-local e-commerce leader, has entered quick commerce with its new brand, 'magicNOW.' The service aims to deliver fresh food within 15 minutes, covering a 1.5-2 km radius. With partnerships involving over 2,000 food brands and 1,000 merchants, magicNOW is now live in major cities including Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi-NCR, and Pune. Unlike rivals, magicpin avoids dark stores, focusing solely on restaurant-prepared meals. CEO Anshoo Sharma emphasized that this strategy ensures cuisine integrity and freshness.
magicNOW is powered by magicpin's logistics aggregator, Velocity. Velocity consolidates third-party logistics providers like Shadowfax, Dunzo, Rapido, and others under one system. This ensures seamless backend operations for food brands and sellers. Currently, Velocity is used by top brands like KFC, Burger King, and IGP gifting, proving its efficiency and scalability. This robust network positions magicNOW to handle high delivery volumes.
The company ran a successful pilot from November 14 to December 15 in Delhi-NCR and Bangalore. Over this four-week test, magicNOW recorded 75,000 food deliveries, demonstrating the demand for fast, fresh food delivery. Customers embraced the 15-minute delivery promise, encouraging magicpin to expand rapidly. Brands like Wendy’s, McDonald's, Taco Bell, and local favorites are on board, ensuring variety for customers.
