La Redoute+ will launch in Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain after its Swiss debut. The model boosts spending, with subscribers in France purchasing twice as often and spending three times more.
La Redoute+ launched in Switzerland in mid-January. The subscription offers free delivery and discounts on in-house products. Later this year, Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain will follow. The goal is to boost engagement and sales.
In France, subscribers drive 45% of sales. They shop twice as often and spend three times more. This strong performance pushed La Redoute to expand its subscription model. The company aims to replicate these results in new markets.
Home decor now makes up 70% of La Redoute’s revenue. To reinforce this, the brand plans to open furniture stores in Italy and Switzerland. This move aligns with its strategy of growing beyond e-commerce.
In 2023, La Redoute’s revenue was $885M, down 8.1% from 2022. It has 8.8M active customers in over 20 countries. Since 2022, it has been part of Galeries Lafayette. The subscription expansion aims to drive revenue back up.
