Following a successful pilot, Glovo & e-Mobility Rentals up their eco-game in Bucharest. Their EV fleet now boasts 62 units, slashing CO2 emissions and speeding up deliveries.
It’s not just any Monday at the eco-friendly HQs of e-Mobility Rentals and Glovo—they’ve just turbocharged their collaboration! Originally testing waters with 24 electric vehicles, these green warriors now command a fleet of 62, including 38 e-cars and 24 e-mopeds. This leap isn’t just a win; it’s a green revolution in Bucharest, setting a stellar example of how businesses can pivot towards sustainability while keeping the wheels of commerce spinning efficiently.
The dynamic duo’s pilot project wasn’t just about adding electric vehicles; it was about redefining urban mobility. The results? Couriers zipping through Bucharest faster, making more deliveries, and facing fewer reallocations—all while cutting down on CO2 emissions. With over 390,000 km clocked, the project slashed approximately 88 tons of CO2, turning Bucharest’s air a tad fresher and its streets a little less congested.
Behind every successful venture is robust support, and e-Mobility Rentals didn’t skimp here. They rolled out the red carpet for Glovo’s couriers, offering 24/7 roadside assistance, guaranteed auto insurance, and hassle-free battery swaps. This isn’t just about vehicles; it’s about creating an ecosystem where technology, support, and sustainability converge to make urban deliveries smoother and greener.
Alexandru Slavu, COO of e-Mobility Rentals, beams with pride over the pilot’s success. Their “plug and play” solution isn’t just cutting costs and emissions; it’s reimagining how deliveries are done. As Glovo expands this sustainable fleet across Romania, the future looks electric, promising a cleaner, faster, and more efficient delivery model that other cities might just queue up to adopt.
Will Glovo's green move inspire others?
