On December 10, 2024, Cart.com announced its acquisition of OceanX, a fulfillment arm of Guthy-Renker. This deal adds over 600K sq ft of facility space and 200 OceanX employees to Cart.com’s expanding logistics network. The company now operates 17 fulfillment centers across the U.S., totaling nearly 10M sq ft. This move positions Cart.com as a dominant logistics provider for mid-market health, beauty, and wellness brands, catering to high-demand fulfillment needs.
The acquisition strengthens Cart.com’s portfolio, adding iconic brands like Meaningful Beauty and Smileactives. These brands will benefit from Cart.com’s proprietary Constellation OMS and WMS software. “This acquisition scales our platform and enhances client satisfaction,” said Omair Tariq, CEO of Cart.com. This strategic step diversifies Cart.com's reach into lifestyle, wellness, and beauty verticals, boosting efficiency and visibility.
New facilities in California and Ohio will serve as crucial hubs in Cart.com’s growing network. The Southern California site enhances west coast operations, while the Ohio facility strengthens midwestern capabilities. These locations optimize order processing and delivery times, a key component in the company’s strategy to reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction.
